I have seen reviews of a mean lady, well I am here to tell you that Bear lake hot springs has new management now! Very friendly staff! I took my family to the hot pools and really enjoyed the mineral in the water! There were facilities there for changing into our swim wear, bathroom and a place to shower! So relaxing!
Pulling up to the beach without having to haul our paddle boards and equipment for the day was worth the $20 alone. Clean gradual shore and open space was a bonus. Would definitely come again next time I'm here.
We have been coming here for the last 4 years and have always used the same open campground spot. The owners were great and very helpful, we had good neighbors, not to close and not too loud. Access to the beach is always easy and the bathrooms were remarkably well kept for as many people that use them. We will definitely be back next year!
The cost to camp is cheap. The sites are small so you'll be close to your neighbor. Pack everything you might need since the store is really expensive. $2 for a Hershey bar, $7 for sunscreen, etc. But for the access to the beach, which is within walking distance, it's worth the price. My family and I love this place.
This restaurant is a good way out when you're going to spend the day at the lake or the pools and come home unprepared without food for the whole gang. Unfortunately, their stock and variety are small. However, the food and sandwiches typical of the Dominican Republic were delicious. The filet with fries and the flambéed pineapple are champions. I also recommend the cheeseburger. Delicious.
First time visiting Bear Lake and it lived up to all the hype. Nice, fine sandy beach and clear turquoise waters. Absolutely beautiful Since we didn't have a reservation, North Beach sent us to Epic. So glad they did, We loved Epic Beach! The beach was a lot less crowded too. The whole staff at Epic Beach was amazing. Renting a kayak and a jet ski was super easy. Just go to the white booth, pay and sign the waivers and you're good to go. Both watercrafts were newer and in great condition. We will totally come back again. Just so you know if you want souvenirs those shops up the road close at 6pm sharp. I was in the shop, had to leave, came back 10 minutes later and everything was closed. Guess we'll just have to come back!
I spent another fabulous weekend here. Myself and a group of family and friends have been coming here for years and I have to say NOT EVER have we been treated poorly. I know that food is more expensive when on vacation so I wasn't shocked at $6.00 for a cheeseburger. What I was shocked at is how BIG, juicy and delicious it was and there were more fries than 3 people could eat ..... The staff in all aspects from the store, camp patrol, beach patrol and the gals that were cooking were very out of the way friendly and kind. I find it sad to read some of the bad reviews and can't help but think the people who wrote them did not follow the rules and got caught. Any ways, thank you once again, I love this place and hope you are are around for many, many more years, the thought of Condos or Hotels going in and ruining the place we love makes me sad!! Thanks again!!!!
